TheFellowship- if i placed my house yesterday to save the spot but i can enlarge it greatly, do i have to wait my 7 days to demolish the house and replace? MrTact-No. When you remove your last house, it removes the 7-day timer limitation
Lord-Xanthor Aedilwulf-What is the current status with addressing critical guildstone bugs for guilds over 150 members? (Inability to Kick/Title members)? Can we expect to see these addressed in an upcoming publish? And what is the timing? Evocare- We're making a legitimate attempt at scheduling it for pub24, although there are no guarantees until QA has signed off on it
Lord-Xanthor Thomas-Can we have an update on the status of the remaining Virtues? How far along in development are they and which one(s) are we likely to see first? Evocare- Some have gotten pretty far into development only to get postponed due to their heavy testing and long-term implications that being said, we're evaluating what the "right" scope for the remaining virtues are, and how they'll best fit into defining UO, especially in light of UXO, which is very heavily virtue oriented
Lord-Xanthorbuster- There have been hints of a possible cap to a player's 'faster casting' - as it is, fc4 is ridiculously overpowered, and generally unobtainable for most, especially in PvP. Do you intend to change this system, and if so when? Evocare-yes, after having listened to many different views on the subject, i've pretty much decided to go with caps on some of the key pvp-related magic properties Evocare- i believe we can ensure that magic items/artifacts are still desireable, but don't have the dominant effect on outcome that they have today
Lord-Xanthor Adamantyr- Are there plans to introduce bulk order deeds for other craft skills, such as cooking? On that note, are there any plans to make food a more vital component of the game, such as the necessity of eating to survive, creating exceptional food items, adding glass mugs and other paraphernalia to the tinkering lists, etc.?
Evocare-as we've stated in the past, there definitely is a desire on the dev team to add bods for other craft skills although cooking is probably less likely to get them as soon as carpentry/bowcraft/tinker for example we are interested in having cooking become more useful in UO however, we're not likely to force players to eat to keep their characters from dying no wait, we're not just "not likely" to do that, we're just flat out not gonna do that we'd much prefer to see eating be something you'd like to do, then something you have to do we get the "have to" part already from reality ;]
Lord-Xanthordrewniu-In one of the previous chats it was stated that not being able to steal containers is a confirmed bug. In the next one it was said that it's a designed feature. What caused the change and can we expect any change in that matter? Thank you. MrTact- It is *not* a bug It is, in fact, a solution to the problem of blessed or insured items in containers. We have contemplated other solutions to the problem but we don't plan to pursue them right at this moment. Final answer.
Lord-Xanthor Garaba-Any Fixes to the Golem bugs on the short term radar? Evocare- not that I know of offhand, sorry =[ there may be some that will be scheduled soon, but i honestly don't know for sure off the top of my head
Lord-Xanthorfect|afk- Alot of us that have been playing for a long time, would like to see a shard that is based off of Pre-Ren. Do you see OSI ever pubslishing a shard with that sort of a rule-set? MrTact- Right now there are no plans to do a pre-uor shard. What we are doing is looking at gameplay from back in the day (especially pvp) and seeing what about it makes players yearn for that ruleset. Then we want to take what we learn and use it to improve the game as it stands today.
Lord-XanthorKtorr- Are there any plans to adjust certain perceived imbalances with Skills. ie. Poisoning is one of the most difficult and expensive skills to gain, but can be countered with 0 skill by using a single potion, and 20.1 in tracking seems a bit low to allow someone to find a player with GM stealth ? Evocare- There are a lot of plans to balance all sorts of things with different skills. Those plans are very far-reaching and include scrutinizing every skill in the game (poisoning included obviously) However, I wouldn't expect to see any changes to that in the next publish or two, it's longer term then that
Lord-XanthorDerek_-There has been some discussion recently about sightings of counselors and rumors with a possible connection to the E.M. Program, is there any truth to this and/or is any thought being given to bring back the volunteer program? Sannio-I don't know yet why a Counselor was supposedly sighted, but I do know that there are no plans to recreate the volunteer program, and Counselors will not be a part of any future Event Moderator team
Lord-Xanthor UOnuts- Question: Is there anything, such as Auto Loot Distribution, planned to stop script looting, especially at Doom Gauntlet? MrTact-I believe we are to the point where we have decided that we *are* going to do auto loot distribution, but we haven't even started design on it atm. As such, I couldn't say when to expect that.
Lord-XanthorUOnuts-Please ask this question: any chance to make any change to archery in near future? Evocare-i'll be looking at basic damage over time values for archery in pub24, although I can't say for sure yet if and how much it would change
Lord-Xanthor Thomas- At present, what's the planned focus for each of the next three publishes? MrTact- Well, since I've already been skewered for this on the boards . . . Pub 23 is going to be almost entirely character transfer Pub 24 is in the planning stages atm . . . we have already mentioned a couple of things we are looking at for that pub Pub 25 isn't even a gleam in anyone's eye yet. Most likely, by the time we get to pub 25, some very interesting things will have happened, so it would be hard to even guess right now.
Lord-XanthorGhostface- Why is a system as enormous as luck not a priority to put effort into when it's been admitted that its nowhere near up to par. People dont expect good items all the time but we do expect not to get junk all the time. Also can you fix it so people with Vamp Embrace on can mount steeds you have to get on then recast it :< Evocare- I believe MrTact has been planning on going over luck to resolve whether there are bugs that cause the percieved problems or whether its the case of the design needing changes to make sure it works the way players feel it should When exactly that might happen I don't know with any degree of certainty MrTact-I posted extensively in this thread the other day: http://boards.stratics.com/php-bin/uo/show...v&selv=&vwhich= That is everything I know about the current situation with loot and luck
Lord-Xanthorxcelsior- Can we have soulstones somewhere around pub 35? Evocare- i hope so... I had originally hoped they would go in with AoS so, I'm still a big fan of doing soulstones, it's just a question of fidning a time to do them
Lord-XanthorM.C. -Items decay extremely fast now (both weapons and armor), and repairing a barely damaged weapon even at 120+ skill results in a max.durability penalty very often. Are there any plans to tone down the rate of item decay? MrTact-Not right now. I would say now we are at the "wait and see" stage.
Lord-XanthorRed_Falcon- I was just wondering if the dev team will fix the lamp room in doom so people cannot logout in there and stop them from exploiting to get the lamps and gloves. MrTact- Now that the team has grown somewhat, we are going to be dividing up into groups to focus on live and . . . other stuff
Lord-Xanthorunified -Is it at all possible for there to be a mechanism to allow players to see the autual numerical value of fame, karma, and virtue they have acheived. It's confusing getting "you have gained a little fame" or "you have lost a lot of fame" when there is no way to actually know where you are. MrTact-Yeah we feel that the status gump is too small, so we're going to be making it a lot bigger so we can add that stuff. JK There are UI enhancements planned for the future, and it's possible that we may elect to make those stats less obscure. Evocare- what? you want real information about your character?
Lord-XanthorAdamantyr-At the moment, a locked down item can't be used or picked up. This is well, but if you lock down a container, such as a mug, you can't drink from it. This means you can't really operate a tavern unless you have cutletry you don't mind losing to thieves. Can a new level of lockdown be made so items can be usable but not takable? MrTact- Actually, it is possible to make a class of locked down items usable. We had a real problem with this after AoS where a lot of item types that had to be used when locked down couldn't be . . . (Can you say "plants"? Sure you can." The fix we did for that stuff can be done for other item types as well. When you come across stuff like this, please forward it to the bug box. We want to get bugs like this on the schedule because they are relatively easy to fix.
Lord-Xanthor Dryzzid- Also, do mages gain the bonus FC1 effects from an equipped weapon? I see some people using programs to rearm between each spell? If so, is there any way to fix that? Evocare- yep, planning on fixing that cheaters! hopefully with the next round of balance changes mages won't feel compelled to cheat ;]
Lord-Xanthor uocoriantum- I'm wondering if UO plans on introducing more rare items into the game? Maybe some "mid-level" rares would be nice--especially mage rares! Evocare- sure, adding stuff for people to find is definitely something we plan on doing =]
Lord-Xanthor [Garaba] Whats with all of Mr. Tact's jokes these days. Is he like this at the office. Evocare-as a matter of fact, he's *exactly* like that at the office... i think his wife must be deaf hoho
Lord-Xanthor- Did the Dev Team attend any good IDOCs? What did you loot? Evocare- I got all of Adrick's stuff that newblar... Sannio-I picked up a few things here and there. As I mentioned on the UO Stratics boards, I mostly picked up plants, but some statues, ingots, boards, and miscellaneous wearables. It took a long while and a bit of luck, but I was also able to place a small marble tower. MrTact- I was crunching. Plus I thought it was a little unethical for a dev team member ---Sannio pokes MrTact---
Lord-Xanthorwilki24- Are their any plans for a new client to be released in the near future? If so, can you shed some details about it? MrTact- New client? Whatever gave you that idea?
Lord-Xanthor I would like to thank everyone for coming tonight! And thanks to all of the OSI folks for spending their personal time talking to us Please join #ultima-online for continued, unmoderated chat the log will be posted shortly at http://uohoc.stratics.com THANKS ---Waves to everyone---
Farewell to the King Rourke, Town Cryer Guildmaster Dec 19 2003 11:36AM
I report with you now a matter of great significance to all Britannia—to all Sosaria—and I do so with a heavy heart. Truly, this may no longer be news to you. Word has spread quickly throughout the realm that our King, Lord British, has bid his final farewells to Britannia. Many of his subjects were present during his final noble act—
…But, I get ahead of myself. Please, allow me to begin again.
Earlier in the day, the Commander of the Royal Britannian Guard learned that an agent of Minax that had been spied in the Ilshenar facet. Summoning the troops to Castle British, the Commander reasoned that it would be a routine mission for the Royal Guard to investigate.
In tight formation, the guardsmen made their way south from the City of Compassion, to Britain’s moongate. Before they could enter it and cross facets, they were halted by Clainin, royal mage and member of the ruling council of Britannia.
Clainin was in a frantic state, panting and gasping confusing bits of conversation about Lord British and some “final ritual.” After composing himself, the mage begged the Commander to follow, exclaiming insufficiently that “the timing was too early” and that he was going to fetch Dupre to help.
As to why Clainin was in such a panic, the guardsmen were at a loss—all save the Commander, who seemed somehow to follow Clainin’s curious conversation. They only knew, after the royal mage disappeared into the moongate on his way to Felucca, that the Commander hastened them all back toward Britain, to the Chamber of Virtue.
As they entered the Chamber they saw fragments of the legendary Gem of Immortality, shattered long ago when the Stranger defeated Mondain, positioned over the symbols of Virtue. Standing in the center of the Chamber, of equal distance from all the shard-fragments, was Lord British, King of Britannia. Outside the perimeter were close friends and members of the ruling council of Britannia.
A crowd was building in the Chamber of Virtue, and was fluttering with concern and speculation. Some knew that the King was safeguarding several wayward shards, but why were they displayed in such a manner, here, out in the open?
As the crowd calmed, Lord British issued a statement. The shards were in danger—verily, they were in near constant danger. He would bring them to a place where no harm could come to them, nor could anyone use them for evil. He intended to personally bring them into the Void, where they—and each duplicate Sosaria within—would be kept safe. And he would not come back.
Before he did so, Lord British appointed the Commander to a position in the ruling council. For acts of heroism, Virtue, diligence, and leadership, the Commander would now be a leader for all of Britannia. And once this appointment was completed, the King began his mystical ceremony.
Lord British began calling out magical words of power, “Vas Ort Rel Por An Tym!” Curiously-hued moongates had appeared at each symbol of Virtue. One after another, a duplicate Lord British appeared at each moongate and moved to the existing King, each bearing one of the Gem-fragments. And, as each King met, they merged into one being.
When only one Lord British remained, he called out again, “Kal Vas Rel Por,” and a massive black gateway appeared. “In Sanct Por Ort Vas Bet Ylem,” the King commanded, and the gateway opened. Through it, one could see the vast emptiness that was the Void—our King’s destination.
However, before the King could traverse the gateway, evil creatures began appearing and assaulted everyone that had gathered. The Royal Guard quickly put their swords to task, and more than a few of the onlookers were prepared to defend themselves and their King. The battle was quick, chaotic, and furious, but the citizens of Britannia stood their ground, and victory was theirs in the end.
As the tumult settled, Lord British returned to the task at hand. He bid everyone goodbye, said his final farewells, and humbly thanked Britannia for all that it was. Our King approached to the gateway, stepped into the Void with the wayward shards, and was gone.
His was always a cause most noble, but the crowd was heartbroken. Our King was gone, this time most likely forever.
Once upon a time, Lord British gave us direction, and we shall honor his memory by continuing to choose the Virtuous path. We shall respect the sacrifice that our King made not only for us, but for every being on every shard, and shall endeavor to live up to his example. We wish our liege—our former liege well in his travels into the Great Unknown.
Hell Hath No Fury Rourke, Town Cryer Guildmaster Dec 16 2003 4:03PM
Mere days ago it was that Lord British, King of Britannia, did summon his Royal Guard and put to them a quest. They were to meet with the high wizard named Grathinam, and from him they would retrieve an irreplaceable collection of shards from the Gem of Immortality. The guardsmen were to protect these shards until they were once again in our good King’s hands.
Within each fragment of the Gem of Immortality is held a Sosaria that is nearly a duplicate of our own. Hundreds, perhaps thousands of shards were created when the Stranger defeated Mondain and the Gem was shattered, and Lord British sought to retrieve them for a noble purpose of which only he knew.
As instructed, the Commander led the Royal Britannian Guard to the Lycaeum, where Grathinam was known to have safeguarded the precious shards gathered thus far by the Virtuous souls of Britannia. After a brief meeting, the wizard gave the Commander a satchel containing the wayward shards.
The troops prepared to return to Britain and the King, but were interrupted by a strange moongate that appeared on the scene. The aura of Minax stepped out of it, shouting against Lord British, stating that he will see the fruition of his plans.
The aura then lashed out, slaying poor Grathinam. But, as the aura turned to attack the stalwart Commander, our good King appeared and himself defended the leader of the Royal Guard!
During the fracas, Lord British deftly snatched a mysterious glowing artifact from the hand of Minax’s aural self—he later explained that Minax had a device that allowed her astral self to leave Felucca, so long as she continue to hold a wayward shard of her own. Relieved of her shard, the aura became vulnerable to attack, and the battle escalated against the Dark Temptress and her demonic horde, now pouring forth from her unorthodox moongate.
Sometime during the conflagration, the forces of good were able to destroy Minax’s aura, and her demon army quickly fell in the wake of her defeat.
The Commander rallied the Royal Guard back to the Lycaeum, accompanied by Lord British. The King expressed his personal thanks to the Guardsmen for their efforts in defeating Minax. However, something else seemed to weigh heavily ’pon the King’s brow, and the Commander suggested to his forces that they maintain a vigilant readiness over the next few days, in preparation for whatever may come.
Last week, as mentioned in a previous FYI, our housing system began tracking houses that were owned by inactive accounts (accounts that have been cancelled or suspended due to non-payment for more than 10 days are considered “inactive accounts”). That same FYI also mentioned that, starting today (Wednesday, October 29), any house owned by an inactive account will become condemned. However, we have made a change to today’s proceedings, and the global auto-refreshing that began on September 11, 2001 will not be turned off at this time.
Extending the global auto-refresh means that: Primary houses, grandfathered houses, and “condemned-inactive” houses on inactive accounts will continue to refresh daily. If you place or are traded a house, your old house(s) will still become condemned and decay. If a grandfathered account becomes inactive for more than 10 days, then only the most recently placed house will become condemned-inactive and all other houses owned by that account will become condemned (and begin decaying). This extension of the auto-refresh is only temporary. After additional research and consideration, we have decided to treat grandfathered houses on active accounts in the same manner as primary houses on active accounts. Once the final adjustment is implemented, both primary and grandfathered houses will auto-refresh themselves—any non-condemned house owned by an active account will auto-refresh itself. This change to grandfathered houses will not be immediate, and therefore the continuation of global auto-refreshing was required to ensure these houses remained on each shard while we make the appropriate changes. We are currently planning to have these changes activated by Publish 21.
The most important thing to remember is still that an account that stays inactive for more than 10 days will condemn all houses that it owns, although for the moment one house per account will temporarily continue to auto-refresh even if the account is inactive.
Oct 13 2003 5:46PM Housing’s Phase 3 brings the possibility for houses owned by inactive accounts to become condemned and decay. The Phase 3 audit, when the housing system first begins checking which houses are owned by inactive accounts, will begin the morning of Wednesday, October 15 CT.
Houses on account that are reactivated before the billing upgrade and Phase 3 audits begin will not be condemned. Reactivating an account after the audit begins will not keep a house from becoming condemned. Houses on inactive accounts will not begin decaying right away, but they will begin entering a normal “Condemned” state and decay within 5 days. (Note: If the condemned timer runs out but contacted vendors still exist on that house, the house will change to “Demolition Pending.” Houses in these “post decay” phase cannot be traded or removed, and will disappear once all the vendors have expired.)
During this audit period, players will not be able to place or trade houses. Players should be able to make housing transactions again when the audit is complete.
Auto-refresh is not being turned off at this time. We will post an announcement stating when automatic refreshing of all houses will be turned off.
For more information about Housing Phase 3 and these audits, please read Housing Phase 3 in the Update Center and our Housing/Phase 3 Q&A Team Comment by Keith “Sannio” Quinn.
Cort Malic: Minax Still Alive Posted on Sunday, October 5, 2003, 1:37 AM EDT by Gideon Rye (Catskills)
After attending a duel held at the bagball arena south of Luna Saturday evening, Cort Malic took the time to answer a number of questions regarding the recent encounter with Minax in Wrong...
It appears that the informant Ramuz had tipped off the Royal Guard regarding a meeting of Minax's High Council! Arriving at Wrong, where the meeting was said to take place, Cort Malic's forces were immediately attacked. In the battle that ensued, three of Minax's generals were slain, including a demon, a lich, and a mage known as Tremanic. However, Keeonean, former general of Yew and the man responsible for the abduction of Lord Nicolus, was able to escape, along with Minax and her orc general, Kor'bak.
Malic had no additional information to provide, but he was still recruiting for the Britannian Royal Guard, handing out sashes to interested citizens throughout our interview.
Publish 20 Rescheduled/Vendor Issue Oct 2 2003 3:45PM CST (GMT -06:00) We discovered an issue with Publish 20 that has caused us to decide to not release this publish at this time. The only shards brought down as per the previously mentioned schedule were the East Coast, Central, and Australian shards (Atlantic, Catskills, Chesapeake, Legends, and Oceania). The Central shards have already been returned to service, and the East Coast and Australian shards should be up momentarily—all of these shards are returning exactly as they were prior to their downtime, without Publish 20.
The issue concerns Bulk Order Deeds (BODs) purchased from within BOD books that reside on vendors. The gold that players pay to player-vendors for these BODs is currently not being added to the vendor’s collectible revenue and cannot be retrieved by the vendor-owner. Please know that the gold payments for these BODs are not being lost and this gold is still being stored for the vendor-owner. DO NOT dismiss your vendor in an attempt to fix this issue yourself.
We are working on a fix to merge the gold collected from BODs within BOD books sales with all other collectible revenue on that vendor, and will implement it on the Pacific shard as soon as it is made complete. At this time, we expect to reschedule the release of Publish 20 for next week.
Cultist: “I Know Where Minax Is” Oct 1 2003 12:51PM CST (GMT -06:00)
A mysterious figure was recently arrested during investigations into the recent assaults against the city of Moonglow. Although claiming to be a representative of the Council of Mages, it was soon discovered that this person was actually a member of the Shadowlord cult.
The ruling council of Britannia has interrogated the cultist, but little information has been revealed to the public at this time. Authorities say that the cultist attempted to gain favor by revealing the time and location of a pivotal congress between Minax and her generals. The council states that they have sent a detachment of the Royal Britannian Guard to reconnoiter this meeting place.
Claims from loyal Britannians assert that the Royal Guard has already confronted Minax, and that she and one or more of her generals escaped during the resulting fracas. The ruling council would not comment on these rumors at this time, but have confirmed that warrants have been issued that call for the arrest of Minax and her generals.
Citizens are asked to stay tuned to BNN for further updates.
The Tournament of Champions was held in the last quarter of 2002. Each shard had teams of two sign up to fight in the tournament. The original plans would have the champion team of each shard compete in a tournament to be held on the Test Center shard. Regrettably that never happened. I was able to speak with Salvatore and NeoBahamut recently about what they did to win the Tournament of Champions and to get their view on PVP in UO today.
The Traveler - How long have you been playing UO? Salvatore - Six years. NeoBahamut - Same.
The Traveler - Did you have any particular strategy going into the tournament? Salvatore - We both went stun mage. We would stun one opponent, usually the one with higher resist, and then unload on the other one. NeoBahamut - Once one was dead it was over. If there was a mage and a dexy, the mage had to die first, since they can heal better and do more damage than a dexy.
The Traveler - Divide and conquer? Salvatore - *laughs* yes. NeoBahamut - Indeed.
The Traveler - Is the stun mage template still viable in PVP? Salvatore - No, the paralyze of a stun attack doesn't even work against a mage with resist. NeoBahamut - It’s too bad that many of the old templates are worthless in PVP, and even in PVM too. The best templates now are the parry mage and the scribe mage for sure, as opposed to stun mages and alchy mages at the time.
The Traveler - What else did you do as a team that helped you win the tournament? Salvatore - We were using headsets so we could tell each other if/when we stunned someone. NeoBahamut - Also we practiced a few times before the tournament. We are brothers though, so we fought well together from the start.
The Traveler - You mentioned using headsets to communicate during the fight. Do you think it gives an advantage and if so, how? Salvatore - In 2v2 combat not so much anymore I guess, stun was the only real thing you needed to communicate; now you can just call a target and you can tell when to release your spell. Usually one person poisons and the other keeps going offense. As for group fights its fun to use headsets, adds to the excitement. NeoBahamut - Its really a huge advantage. Being able to communicate without typing leaves your hands free to use more macros and run around more.
The Traveler - Mind telling us which program you use for that? Salvatore - Teamspeak is good. NeoBahamut - Teamspeak it is.
The Traveler - When the tournament was announced did you do any trial runs? Such as taking on 2 other players to see what worked better? Salvatore - We fought against 2 other teams to see what organized 2v2 combat was like. NeoBahamut - Also we have been PVPing together and alone for a very long time. Back then fast casting was a skill, not an item property, and being able to do that was key.
The Traveler - Do you remember who they were? Salvatore - Cyrus and Ramon was one team. We've known them for 5 years or so. The other was Fuddrucker and Lost Cause. NeoBahamut - Also just random fighting around the moongates with reds and greys.
The Traveler - I know the tournament drew a lot of spectators. Was lag an issue for the participants? Salvatore - I drove home to fight there because my connection at college sucked. It was about a 45 minute drive. I was living at college at that time. I got out of class, packed up my computer and drove home. NeoBahamut - The lag wasn't bad for me at all, but my connection here at college has always been either great or terrible.
The Traveler - From what I can see there were 6 rounds. Were they all held on one night? Salvatore -Yes. The fights only lasted a few minutes. NeoBahamut - Once we were on a roll we couldn't be stopped.
The Traveler - The tournament ran about 5 hours.
The Traveler - Was there any reward besides the title "Grandmaster Duelist" on the paper dolls? Salvatore -The white Viking swords. They are labeled "Sword Of The Champion." They were supposed to be blessed. After we won I decided to drop by Yew and someone stole it so I was like "hmmmmmm that's not good so I paged a GM and within a few minutes I had like 3-4 GMs talking to me. They went and got my sword back and they reblessed them. NeoBahamut - That was a good steal really. Thieves are made for Trammel now though, which is pretty weak.
The Traveler - I know you are both still active on the PVP scene. How has PVP changed in the last 11months? Salvatore - It is all item based now. I have inquisitor's resolution, ornament of magician, 10 spell damage ring, and midnight bracers. NeoBahamut - Yah, it’s really bad now. I use the same things my brother uses, with the addition of the arcane shield. It’s completely unfair for anyone who fights me. I doubt that there is anyone on any shard that can beat me 1v1, or my brother and I 2v2 for that matter.
The Traveler - UO has gotten a lot of new players since the release of AoS. What pointers would you give them if they want to get involved with PVP? Salvatore - Make an archer and go sit in doom all day to get the artifacts. You need good armor to PVP with. You need barbed kits. Barbed Runic made amour has good resists. NeoBahamut - Don't concentrate on getting gold or anything, just work at getting the items you need. Powerscrolls and artifacts are great to use and sell; just getting any artifact is enough to buy you a full suit of good armor or trade for one you want. Don't concentrate on luck either; I think it’s over rated.
The Traveler - With all of the items in PVP now, has skill really taken a backseat? Salvatore - Yes I would say so, but skill was on the way back there with the introduction of powerscrolls. There is no reason to complain its all items everyone can make a dexer and sit in doom to get artifacts too. Peeple who put forth the effort to get ahead should have an advantage. NeoBahamut - It has, especially for mage vs. mage PVP (which is the only real PVP that ever existed). A 4/6 fastcast/fcr mage is unbeatable by either a mage or a dexer.
The Traveler - Ok, last question. If you could change any one thing about UO, what would it be? Salvatore - I don't know. I really don't mind what UO has become. It's different but that's fine. I've adapted to the changes and come out on top. I love UO. That's why I still play. NeoBahamut - I would make sure the tournament of champions actually got finished. Even though there was supposed to be a battle of the shard winners on test center, it was never done. Then when I say Catskills has the best PVP of any shard I could say it for sure. Then when I say we are the best of any shard at PVP, people will recognize. Even make a whole new tourney if they have to, the result now would be the same as the result was then.
I would like to thank Salvatore and NeoBahamut for taking the time to do this interview. -The Traveler.
